Teaching.
Teaching of remote sensing or Earth observation sciences occurs at undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, and higher degree research levels. All our research courses partner students with scientific, industry or government collaborators and enable career path development in these areas.
Undergraduate
Foundation courses (GEOM2000, 3001) and individual research topics (GEOS3400) in Earth observation sciences can be taken: B.Sc. B.A., B.Env.Mgmt. and B.Env.Sci. Degree programs. A major in Geographic Information Science can be obtained in the B.Sc. Honour programs offering a year long intensive research experience.
Postgraduate Coursework
Foundation and individual research topics are offered through the School of the Environment Postgraduate Coursework Geographic Information Science Degrees, P.G.Dip., M.GIS
Higher Degree Research
These programs offer students a unique opportunity to intensively develop knowledge and skills in biophysical remote sensing, working collaboratively within EORC’s research support group and directly linked to the science, government or industry career pathway they wish to follow. This program is at the core of EORC and is a primary reason we are successful and have placed graduates in leading positions in science, government, and industry in Australia and worldwide.
